Pink eye, also known as conjunctivitis, is a kind of inflammation or infection on the transparent membrane (conjunctiva) that covers the white part of your eyeball and lines your eyelid. Since the small blood vessels in the conjunctiva are inflamed, they're more visible. Then your eyes appear to be pink or reddish. Its early symptoms include:
  • Eye redness
  • Tearing eyes
  • Itching eyes
  • A little gritty feeling in eyes
  • A discharge in eyes which will prevent your eyes from opening
  • Swelling of the conjunctiva
  • Sensitivity to bright light
  • Contact lenses cannot stay in place in the eye

Can you work with pink eye and what is a gritty eye
Actually, the question goes back to ourselves, because the pink eye not only harms ourselves, but also will harm our friends in work. Basically, it is better not to work, because this pink eye virus will easily spread and make our friends feel the pink eye.

If you have gritty eyes, you will have an uncomfortable feeling of having sand in your eye. If you have that gritty, irritated sensation over time, you may be suffering from a specific condition, such as dry eye, Sjogren’s syndrome, blepharitis, or a number of other possible conditions. You need to see a doctor to confirm the disease.
