The inflammation of the sciatic nerve is a neuralgia results from the irritation of the sciatic nerve, it can affect the right or left side.
The pain is often felt in the lower back, in the back area of the thigh and hip, in the calf and under the sole of the foot to the toes.
Symptoms of inflammation of sciatic nerve
- Lumbago (back pain) and pain in the leg along the nerve
- Pain in the gluteus and on the outside of the calf
- Tingling in the foot
- Loss of sensitivity
- Loss of strength
- Loss of tendon reflexed (e.g. the patellar reflex)
- Stinging
- Limitations of movement
- Urinary or fecal incontinence
