RA doesn't only affect the knees. It affects every joint in the body, your immune system becomes non existent. It's an Extremely serious form of arthritis, not to be taken lightly!!
So trying to get a diagnosis isn't that easy because your inflammatory levels need to be at 13.9, Im at 13.2 and ive been told I have to come back in 6 weeks. But I also have osteoarthritis. So I hurt. And my hands are starting to deform. And since my levels are.just under . im not gettingg treated at all. What can i do ? No one should have to live like this.
May I ask what the 13.9 and 13.2 refer to here? It is weird, since the treatment of osteoarthritis is not dependent on blood results. If the doctor you're seeing is not willing to get you treated, you can change your doctor.
I feel just like you I feel like I been beat with bat,my knees hurt so bad im hot to touch,my ankles, wrist,I have noticed my hands stay like crap look any one please help.where and what do I do? God bless
You need to stay at rest and take? OTC pain killers first to relieve your symptoms. After that go to see a rheumatologist. Test your anti CCP level, rheumatoid factors and CRP. Xray of your knee is also helpful to clarify the diagnosis.
You have to advocate for yourself. Raise hell.

About 3months ago, I started to have a little pain and tenderness on my inner ankle bone. It was not severe, so I took it for granted. But since last week, it has continued to get more and more severe. My entire foot and has become swollen and deformed! You know, I can barely squeeze it into any shoe! Then I had to visit the doctor, proved to be rheumatoid arthritis.

My toes and finger will pull up or down from time to time very painful and then will travel up my foot into leg if I do t try to walk it off.    Does this sound like ra
This is a problem caused by neuropathy. But it was hard to say where exactly the nerve was injured. Did you experience anything that might have hurt your leg or spine before? Possible reasons are nerve damage, a bulging disc pressing against nerves, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, ankylosing spondolytis, ssteoarthritis etc. RA is not included.
