Ringworm, also known as Dermatophytosis, is a kind of infection of the skin caused by different fungus such as Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton. It may lead to red, itchy, scaly, circular rash even hair loss. Causes of ringworm rash include:

• Sharing personal items such as hats, clothing, towels, and combs with others.
• Exposure to other people who are suffering from ringworm.
• Exposure to pets. (rare)
• Using public exercise machines.
• Wearing rented bowling shoes, ski boots, skates or roller skates.

Pls help. I moved into a rental apartment that was very dirty. Um. Rats first night. After cleaning best I could I broke out in ringworm. I am trying to find cause to avoid it. I still have it. Is is from weeding. Cleaning and removing stagnant grey water.  I do live in Hawaii. Tropical. Thank u
