The prognosis of epilepsy depends on the causes of the disease and the real situation of the patient. Epilepsy cannot usually be cured, but immediate treatments can control the symptoms effectively in most cases. According to the study, medication can help to control epilepsy seizures in about 70% of cases. Of those who have generalized seizures, 80% of the cases can be controlled by medication while of those who have focal seizures, only 50% of the cases can be controlled by medication.
