Epidemic refers to the disease that spreads quickly and affects a lot of people in a certain period of time. Although measles is a contagious disease, it is under control in the United States thanks to measles vaccines. According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there is no current measles outbreak that involves more than one state in the US.
