Bowel obstruction is a serious problem, a blockage keeping liquids or foods from passing through either the small intestine or large intestine. Several factors can lead to the blockage of your bowel: intestinal adhesions, colon cancer, scar tissue or a hernia, damaged blood vessels, inflammatory bowel diseases, impacted feces, volvulus, etc. Common symptoms of bowel obstruction may be as follows:
  • Loss of appetite
  • Vomiting
  • Constipation
  • Swollen belly
  • Stomach cramps
  • Inability to pass gas
When treating with bowel obstruction, people may turn to surgeries and stent. Surgeries can have your blocked area removed. Stent is suggestible for those who are too sick for emergency surgery, the stent can be placed at the blocked area to force the bowel open.   Keywords: bowel obstruction; cause bowel obstruction; bowel obstruction symptoms; treat bowel obstruction; bowel obstruction treatments.
