Wound botulism refers to a type of botulism caused by infection of a wound with Clostridium botulinum bacteria. It is a very serious disease that without treatment, it can result in difficulty in breath, paralysis, and even death. Symptoms The symptoms don’t appear immediately, because the bacteria needs several days or weeks to multiply and produce toxins. There are some symptoms for you to know:

  • Drooping eyelids
  • Dry mouth
  • Difficulty breathing
