Malignant mixed mullerian tumor is also known as malignant mixed mesodermal tumor, MMMT and carcinosarcoma. It is a rare malignant cancer that develops in the uterus, ovary or fallopian tubes. The tumor contains epithelial and stromal cells. The cancer may be slow-growing or aggressive. Cause Presently, most mixed Mullerian tumors (MMMT) are thought to occur by chance. It has no association with a genetic predisposition. Prognosis Both the grade and type of the adenocarcinoma  will affect the prognosis. MMMTs are highly malignant. Thus, early detection improves prognosis. Treatment You may need both surgical and non-surgical glomus tumor treatments, for a combination will be more effective.
