I have a soft white bump that looks to be attached to my tooth, what can it be?

Is the bump in the teeth? (This sounds impossible.) Is it In the gum? Does it hurt? It's hard to tell from the information.

You might want to go back to the dentist. Sometimes this is a sign of a dying nerve root, especially when there's pus oozing out of it and/or there is a bad taste in your mouth.
