Patients with diverticulitis can eat bananas. Don't eat too hard food.

Hi, it depends on your condition. If you are suffering from bleeding and diarrhea, you'd better reduce your oral intake until your condition gets better. Then you can start with only clear liquids for a few days. For example, you can have some broth and fruit juices without pulp, such as apple juice. When you start feeling better, you can slowly add low-fiber foods. Low-fiber fruits include canned fruits and pulp-free fruit juices. Frozen fruit ice pops are OK, as long as they do not contain pulp or seeds. Bananas are good sources of low-fiber foods.

Dr. used to tell people with diverticulitis to eat soft foods, nowadays they've changed their mind and they say foods with fiber is good for diverticulitis.

I like banana, it's rich in fiber, yummy and it makes people happy since it contains 5-htp.
