Vancomycin (Vancocin HCL, Firvanq) or fidaxomicin (Dificid).
How long do you take Vancomycin for c dif?
You take it for three consecutive days. If symptoms improve, continue to apply for 10-14 days. If it doesn't work, get other drugs.
The dose of Flagyl for C. Diff is as follows: 250mg to 500mg orally 4 times per day or 500mg to 750mg orally 3 times per day. I've had C. Diff for quite some times in the past and Flagyl does work pretty quickly. Hope this can help you!
How many days do u have to take meds7
In most cases, C. diff is treated with 2 weeks of antibiotics. It is effective around 85% of the time, while 15% of the cases left can "relapse" after administration of the antibiotics.
