Possible causes are gallstones, injury to the liver or gallbladder, inflammation, tumors, infections, cysts, or liver damage. Do your skin or eyes look yellow?  Cholestasis will make you feel itchy all over the body.

Do you have a fever? It seems that you may have allergies. Have you recently come into contact with something? For treating allergies, doctors often use benadryl, which is an antihistamine.

Sounds like cholestasis. It is a liver disease caused by the reduced flow of bile from your liver. Some certain medications or diseases, such as bacterial infections, autoimmune diseases and cancers may be the cause. In addition to excessive itching, you may have other symptoms, such as jaundice, dark urine, light-colored stool and pain in your abdomen.

Blood tests and imaging tests are helpful in diagnosis. If you are diagnosed, treatment should focus on the underlying causes. Medications include antibiotics, anabolic steroids, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories and certain antiepileptic, antifungal, drugs. Ina ddition. You should change your habits as well. Don't abuse alcohol.

Food allergy? I still remember the summer when I went to the restaurant with my cousin, and we ate seafood. When we went home, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I had hives, so itching, hard to breath and felt I am burning inside! Then I began to vomit. My cousin was horrified and sent me to the hospital and it proved to be food allergy.

I have the itching and hot feeling every time I have allergy. However, in 24 hours I would see rashes all over my body.
