How Bad is Eye Strain?

  • 7

I usually spend around 5 hours a day on a computer, and lately I've been reading about eye strain. Will I develop eye strain and how bad is it?

With eye strain it depends how badly you've strained your eyes and how frequently it is.

I am a computer professional and I spend a minimum of 8 on the computer. My eyes are so uncomfortable.
Same situation. Whenever I am at work, I have to use the computer. But the good news is that although eye strain can be uncomfortable, it does not lead to any eye damage.
Really? My husband is having constant headache and eye pain due to constant use of laptop.
Actually, some of the most common symptoms of eye strain include the following: Headache
  Eye and neck fatigue
  Blurred vision
  Back pain
Stinging or burning sensation in the eyes.
It's a dilemma. Work or eye? What’s more, you need the job to pay for the health insurance and medical bills at last.

Once you get eye strain if you don't take a real break and get over it properly it tends to get worse.

Give your eyes a chance to refocus, once or twice an hour, take a five-minute break from whatever you're doing.

A tip for you. When watching television, it may be easier on your eyes if you keep the room softly lit.

You can relax your eyes with warm compress. It helps.
