Holiday Detox Drink! Time to Refresh Yourself

The holidays are over, which means the constant and easy access to overindulgent turkey, stuffing and allllll the potatoes has come to an end. With all the food went through your mouth, Thanksgiving can be tough on your body. But don’t worry. You will get your line back.

      

    

This doesn’t mean you must turn to a fast diet to restore your balance. Here, I have some detox drinks you won’t mind drinking, as it is extremely delicious and can help you back to track!

      

Holiday detox water recipe (four servings or two tall glasses)

       

This drink has just four ingredients, which is easy to make and can help you refresh after heavy holiday meals over Thanksgiving.

      

      

Ingredients

4 sprigs of fresh mint

1 cup of pomegranate seeds

1 tablespoon of honey

4 cups of water or coconut water

      

      

Instructions

First, add mint to a pitcher.

Gently muddle the mint with the end of a wooden spoon to release some minty oils.

Then, add pomegranate seeds, honey and water.

Stir to combine.

Add a bit of ice if you want it cold.

Holiday green smoothie recipe (two servings)

     

      

Another drink I want to introduce is the holiday green smoothie! Some people may be too scared to try because they are unsure about its taste. But I assure you it is way delicious and can help you detox after the holiday!

       

Ingredients

1 cup of milk or juice

1 cup of spinach or kale

½ cup of banana or ½ cup of plain yogurt

1 cup of kiwi and pear

1 tablespoon of topping chia, flax, or hemp seeds

1 teaspoon of cinnamon, vanilla, honey

       

      

Instructions

Combine all the liquid, vegetable and fruits in a blender until smooth.

Add the rest of the ingredients.

Continue blending until smooth.

Serve immediately.
