Carcinoid tumors usually start in the lining of the digestive tract or in the lungs, they are rare, slow-growing cancers. Ileum is the part of the small intestine between the jejunum and the caecum. Carcinoid tumor of the ileum is that there are tumors in the site of ileum. They grow slowly and don't produce symptoms in the early stages. As a result, the average age of people diagnosed with carcinoid tumor of the ileum is about 60 or above. You may feel abdominal pain or appear to defecate with blood  and bowel obstruction is also possible. Surgery is the main treatment for carcinoid tumors. If they haven't spread to other parts of the body, surgery can cure the cancer.
