Your post-surgery diet shall be low-fiber. You can include soft, easily digestible food such as yogurt, cottage cheese, soup, rice, pasta, eggs, cooked vegetables, soft fruits, and pudding.

Adequate consumption of fluids is also necessary, such as water, milk, non-citrus fruit juices and decaffeinated tea.

Foods you need to avoid include:

Foods high in fiber, such as raw vegetables, whole wheat, oats, bran, barley, and rye;

Tough cuts of meat, smoked meats, fatty cuts of meat;

Dried or canned fruits;

Citrus fruits;

Spicy and fried foods.

Also, you need to have small meals everyday to avoid overloading the intestines.
